Uji Botanical Garden

Everything you think of a Japanese garden, forget it. It is lush, big plants, not minimal like the Chicago Japanese Botanical garden. We walked for over an hour. The garden is only ten years old. We drank tea in the tea house, and went shopping in the gift shop. Here in Kyoto, you do not say Arigato gasimous (thank you) you say “O keen knee.” If you are really thankful, you say it two times. For the first time I am relaxed. The weather couldn’t have been better, 72 degrees, not a cloud in the sky.
