We rode on a bus for twenty minutes to Uji, a old, small village on the Ugi river to our Ryokan, a Japanese-style inn. You sleep two to four in a room, on tatami mats, with a feather bed on the floor, much like my home stay. The view was incredible. We all dressed up in “outfits” and proceeded to a group dinner. The food started coming at 6:30 and didn’t end until 8:15. Then the evening was spent putting the presentation together and “hot bath.” The Japanese bath before they enter the hot tub. I went down after the video production was in good hands with the group. Me and ten other Japanese women. It was wonderful.
