Mr. Tuck Gillette came to visit the MIDI lab. I met him in Vermont as part of the Vermont Midi Project this past summer. I was an instructor for the Movie class.and he was in the “Sibelius” class. We didn’t really get to know each other until the last day at the presentations. I was so impressed with his presentation, and he loved the work I did in the other class. So, we connected, exchanged emails and kept in touch. He currently is getting his Masters in Music Education at University of Colorado. But, his family lives around here. He did a presentation on “drone” sounds that are found in all music around the world. Mr. Gillette brought his ducilmer and played for the class. The students LOVED the presentation. He then observed the classes the entire day. He is going to be a terrific teacher.
