Not an Elevator but an Atlantis Space Shuttle

space_shuttle_8jpgI am participating in 31 days to building a better blog. The first assignment is the “Elevator Pitch” blog assignment, making my blog more readable and relevant in order to deliver the message in less than a ninety seconds.

My desire is to have music education for everyone, but to allow students to soar. Instead of a slow elevator, I want the Atlantis Space Shuttle. I chose that because of the visual and audio memory that comes to mind. The moment of take off, it is an event and the vision of the shuttle coming to life through air creates excitement.

Music Education for everyone, not just those in the performing groups. The MIDI lab has allowed me to create a music program that all students are successful. My blog is about the process, curriculum and how to make the “shift happen” in music education.

  1. I have been reading your blog for a little while and I’m happy to see that you too are participating in the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog. I haven’t stuck to the specific task of the day, but am finding that just blogging each day – and thinking about the purpose of my blog each day – is helping me clarify what I’m thinking about in education in general. I love your list of 8 steps to make “Shift Happen” in music education – although your points apply to all educators. I look forward to following you over the next month.
