I had twitter up and running since the beginning of the school year, but did not realize how cool it was until I got it rolling at Illinois Music Educator Association, when Brenda Muench and I had our first “techie” night. Twitter is a social network that allows users to blog immediately what they are doing. You only get 140 characters, so short and simple is best. You have people you follow and can be part of their lives. At the Illinois Computing Educators Conference, there was a group of twenty “techies” that twittered the entire conference. I also follow Mac Updates. It came in handy today, when Apple released SDK. Two of my students were in my class three times today about the updates, and I was in the loop immediately. You follow me my twitter name is musictechie. Everything else on the web I am beatachie. Join in the fun!
